Administrator-managed playlists
Understand which source changes belong to you and which belong to authorized staff.
Protected sources
In the upcoming staff-protection update, sources added through the authorized staff panel are automatically marked as managed. Customers can watch them but cannot replace credentials, rename, disable, delete or remove management protection. These checks are enforced by the server as well as the interface.
The rollout is not live until the app, API and database migration pass their release gates. Earlier PIN-protected sources keep their existing protection; customer-created sources are not automatically converted into staff sources.
Request a change
Contact the administrator or seller who manages your device for source changes. Staff access remains limited to their authorized device scope. Knowing a MAC address does not grant access to another customer’s playlists.
Playlist management protection is separate from parental content controls. A parental PIN still protects restricted content even when a source is managed by staff.
