From setup to screen.
Bring a compatible Android device and a playlist you are authorized to use.
1. Install a verified APK
Download a published build from the download page. Compare its SHA-256 checksum with the published value. On Android, allow installation from the specific browser or file manager you use, then turn that permission off after installation.
2. Amazon Fire TV Stick and Android TV
On a Fire TV Stick running Fire OS, enter code 9762838 in Downloader, or open https://vinam.app/vinam.apk. The link always points to the latest published release. Allow installation for that downloader in Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps, install VINAM, then turn the permission off. On Android TV, transfer the same signed APK using your preferred file-transfer tool. This is a sideloaded app, not an Amazon Appstore listing. Devices running Vega OS cannot install Android APKs.
Updates directly in VINAM
From version 0.2.0, open Settings → Player updates → Download update. The player checks the APK checksum and signing certificate. Choose Install update, allow VINAM to install apps if Android asks, then confirm the system installation prompt. You can turn that permission off again afterward. Updates preserve the existing device key, playlists and viewing history.
Updating an earlier test build
Install the latest APK over the existing signed release to keep your device ID, six-digit key and playlists. If Android reports App not installed, an old development build may use a different signing key. Removing that old build clears its app data and creates a new device identity, so save its device details and contact support before uninstalling. APK size alone does not indicate whether installation will work.
3. Pair your screen
Open VINAM PLAYER. The Playlists screen shows your unique QR code. Scan it to sign in to your device’s playlist manager automatically. The single-use link expires after ten minutes; refresh it in the player when needed. You can also enter your virtual MAC and permanent six-digit key manually.
4. Add your content
Add an authorized M3U URL or Xtream-compatible server connection. An XMLTV EPG link is optional. Keep the app open, select Reload, and choose a playlist.
5. Start watching
Select a live channel to preview it; tap the playing video or press OK on the preview to open fullscreen. Tap or press OK again to reveal controls. Movies open their details first; series show their overview, seasons and numbered episodes. Descriptions and trailers appear when your provider supplies them. Back returns to your library.
